Discrimination is prohibited
Chrisalys Surgery complies with applicable Federal civil rights laws and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, age, disability, or sex. We do not exclude people or treat them less favorably because of these characteristics. "Sex" includes pregnancy, sexual orientation, and gender identity, consistent with Section 1557 of the Affordable Care Act and its implementing regulations as they apply to us.
This is a trans-only gender-affirming surgical practice. We exist to treat transgender, non-binary, and gender-diverse patients. That mission is not a license to discriminate among patients on race, disability, national origin, or other protected grounds. We also do not discriminate against companions, visitors, or staff on those grounds.
Auxiliary aids, language, and access
We provide free aids and services to people with disabilities to communicate effectively with us, including qualified sign language interpreters and written information in other formats (large print, audio, accessible electronic formats) when reasonable.
We provide free language services to people whose primary language is not English, including qualified interpreters and information written in other languages. How to request an interpreter is described on Language access.
If you need these services, tell us when you schedule or call (310) 247-4729. Website accessibility is described at Accessibility.

Insurance decisions are not the same as our clinical yes
A health plan's refusal to authorize a procedure is not, by itself, a statement that Chrisalys has refused to treat you. If we cannot take a case for clinical reasons, we will say so. If the barrier is a plan rule, we will say that too, and point you to Insurance and to transgender rights resources, including DMHC and OCR.
We do not retaliate against anyone who files a 1557 grievance or an OCR complaint.
