We operate. We also take support seriously.

Chrisalys is a surgical practice. We are not your full mental-health home. We do expect patients to have somewhere to take fear, grief, and the strange quiet after a date you waited years for. That can be a therapist who already knows you, a community group, a partner, or a combination.

If your plan requires letters, we will not treat the letter-writer as a vending machine. See WPATH letters. If you need a therapist and do not have one, we can share referral names that have worked for our patients. Availability changes; we will not pretend a list on a website is always current.

Crisis: if you may harm yourself, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) or 911. The Trevor Project (https://www.thetrevorproject.org) supports LGBTQ young people. Trans Lifeline (https://translifeline.org) is a peer support line. These are not Chrisalys services; they are listed because people land on this page in a hard hour.
